It feels good to be beack in my studio groove! :-) We
didn’t really have a sunrise here this morning, so I
decided to paint another Lake Champlain Sunrise
painting. This view is moments after yesterday’s
painting. I love watching the light change as the sun
comes up!

The other morning I got up with the pups to watch the
sunrise on the lake. It was so still & beautiful
out. We sat on the shore & admired the scenery.
What a way to start the day!

We headed of to VT for a couple of days ...
it’s always so nice to drive through the mountains!
Here’s one of my favorite peaks, Camel’s Hump. Once
upon a time we hiked up it with our basset hound,
Sebastian, & spent the night near the summit. What
a pretty spot!

We are headed up to North Hero, Vermont this morning
for a few days on Lake Champlain! Should be fun! My
dad, brother & his family will be there too. Stay
tuned for some new VT paintings when I return!
Today was the Sidewalk
Art Festival on Congress Street ... and WHAT A
BEAUTIFUL day we had! Thanks to everyone who came out
to enjoy the art festivities!
Here are a few pics from the fun filled
day!
Today was a busy day getting ready for the Portland
Sidewalk Festival tomorrow ... I got all of my chores
done & packed the car & am pretty much ready to
rock & roll! I didn’t get a chance to paint today,
but thought I’d share a lovely Summer view from Fort
Allen ... I adore this view. This painting was a b-day
present for a specail b-day boy turning 80 & this
is the view from his bench!

Visit me
at the Portland Sidewalk Art Festival THIS Saturday
from 9am-4pm.
I’ll be near the corner of Casco & Congress St.,
across from CVS.
My brother & his family gave us some pretty
sunflowers to cheer us up ... they are beautiful!
Here’s a little painting of a few of them. A burst of
yellow always helps the spirit!

We said goodbye to our sweet kitty Midnight yesterday.
His little body just couldn’t fight the heart failure
any longer. I thought I might be able to do a painting
of him this morning, but it’s just too soon. Instead I
decided to paint day break on Casco Bay in honor of
“Chubby Cakes.” Midnight often came for morning dog
walks with us along the Eastern Prom. He was one of
those kitties that identified more as a dog than a cat
... somehow all of our kitties do. They go for walks,
they come when they are called & they adore their
doggy brothers. Here’s to a Midnight & here’s to a
new day! xox

Last night we were up in Auburn for a family dinner
followed by a boat ride on Taylor Pond. We got a real
treat when the full moon came up from behind the
treetops. WOW! It was a spectacular Summer evening!

We took a beach day on Sunday with my partner’s family
... what a gorgeous day for the beach & family fun!
:-) So needless to say, I didn’t paint on Sunday. But
here’s a lovely view of the beach looking towards
Prout’s Neck!

We went on a spectacular evening boat ride last night
with some friends on their boat, “Lucky Dog” ... and
that is exactly how I felt, like a lucky dog! What a
treat! The weather cooperated as we tooled around Casco
Bay with a pit stop at Cocktail Cove on Jewel Island
for a swim. Here’s an island view as we head for
Chebeague.
