My name is Elizabeth Fraser & I am a painter from Portland, Maine. I started doing 8 square paintings a week on January 15, 2006 & haven't looked back! On the 2nd anniversary of my daily painting project, I decided to switch up my routine a bit & not limit myself to the 5x5 inch oil on paper format that I had followed for 829 paintings ... I will continue on with the square format, but will now work with different sizes, from 5x5 to 30x30. Each painting is available for sale directly from this site for 1 week & then it goes into my e-bay store. My daily commission pieces will vary in size. A New Day • 5x5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
We said goodbye to our sweet kitty Midnight
yesterday. His little body just couldn’t fight the
heart failure any longer. I thought I might be able
to do a painting of him this morning, but it’s just
too soon. Instead I decided to paint day break on
Casco Bay in honor of “Chubby Cakes.” Midnight often
came for morning dog walks with us along the Eastern
Prom. He was one of those kitties that identified
more as a dog than a cat ... somehow all of our
kitties do. They go for walks, they come when they
are called & they adore their doggy brothers.
