Daisies, Reaching for the Sun • 5x5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
What a beautiful day! We’ve got a gorgeous ocean
breeze which is such a relief & I wanted
nothing more than to sit outside in the fresh air
to paint. I pulled up a chair next to the daisies
in my front yard & painted. Daisies are so
sweet, simple & elegant--I love them! Hope
you are enjoying a great day too!

Roses in Deering Oaks • 5x5 • oil on canvas • $75
Today I packed up my paints & headed out on
my bike to run a few errands & then paint in
Deering Oaks Park. What a GORGEOUS day ... this
is my kind of day, sunny, breezy, 70s! I sat in
the rose garden & painted. The smell was
heavenly! I somehow grabbed my old, beat up paint
brushes but made do. 
This painting is a little more
primitive than usual, as were my paint
brushes, but it captures the feel of the
beautiful city rose garden.

We picked these out for my sister-in-law, the new
mommy, on Wed morning & then kept forgetting
them every time we went to the hospital. My niece
assured me it was ok that I kept forgetting them.
Needless to say, they are still here & we
have been enjoying them. This morning I took them
up to my studio to paint!

Looking at the tulips on the Eatern Prom from
ground level with the ocean behind them is simply
gorgeous! What a backdrop for flowers! I was
walking the pups the other morning & couldn’t
resist the morning light & the tulips from
the Pink Tulip Project. Happy belated Mother’s
Day to all of you moms!
