Nightime Sparkle & Island Night

Nighttime Sparkle • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Island Night • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD

Just sitting here playing with color in these two nighttime paintings of the Maine Coast. These paintings spell out tranquility to me … the color palette is a favorite of mine and the quiet of nighttime on the water is so calming. These paintings look so much better in person, but you get the idea. :-). I hope you are staying cozy and dry on this dreary day. I am thinking about you & sending much love your way. xox

Winter Moon

Winter Moon • 6×6 • oil on canvas • SOLD

The full moon last week was so gorgeous!  I didn’t witness it coming up over the bay, but I did admire it as it set at daybreak.  Thoughts of moody night paintings and moons made me paint this imaginary coastal scene … I just love a nightscape!

Morning Moon, South Carolina

Morning Moon, South Carolina – 5×5 – oil on canvas – SOLD

The sun rises a good hour later down here in South Carolina. My internal alarm clock is still going off at 6ish, so my morning dog walks are under the stars and the Moon.  So Pretty & peaceful with the birds chirping.  Here’s a scene from my morning walk today that just so happens to capture the South Carolina logo. 😉

Day Break at the Head Light & Happy Boston

12x12s • oil on canvas • SOLD

This day break … stunning, huh?  I just love the silhouette of the Head Light & the hope that day break brings.  So peaceful.  And I couldn’t resist painting this Boston Terrier as it reminded me of our ball obsessed Zoe. When there is a ball around, playing with it is the ONLY thing on her mind.  :-).

Shacks by Night

Shacks by Night • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD

Sometimes I just like to paint moody nighttime scenes.  Today was one of those days, so I chose my favorite fishing shacks for a subject matter.  I love the shacks in all kinds of weather & light.

Islands by Night

Islands by Night • oil on paper, mono print • 4×6, paper size 7×9 • $35

I was playing with my press & the monoprint process of a starry night scene, which I always love to paint!  I love the mystery of it all & not knowing what the press will do to the painting I put down on plexi.  🙂

The Cottage in North Hero

The Cottage in North Hero • 8×8 • oil on canvas • $150

A painting from the show we did in Hudson, Ohio, in honor of my dad’s retirement.

Holiday Point in North Hero, Vermont is a second home to our family. For nearly 40 years my Dad has been spending each summer in this special place recharging his battery with golfing, boating, napping, swimming & soaking in all the beautiful views Vermont has to offer.  Heaven on earth!

Channeling Vincent

8×8 • oil on canvas • Lugares Exhibit

I have been busy getting ready for an art show in my home town of Hudson, Ohio!  I am so excited for this show that I am collaborating on with my brother, Mike, of  The show is titles called “Lugares, oil paintings of places that have touched Señor Fraser’s life.”  Señor is our dad & he is retiring after 48 years of teaching & coaching at Western Reserve Academy.  He has had a remarkable career and touched so many lives, so we thought it would be fun to do a show that centers around his travels and loves.  All three of us love Van Gogh and my dad & I have both spent time in France, where Van Gogh spent much of his time painting, and we’ve seen many Van Gogh paintings & exhibits over the years.  It only seemed fitting that  I do a couple of square Van Gogh inspired paintings to include in our show. Cheers to Vincent!   Details about the “Lugares” show HERE!  We would love to have you drop by!
