Those Eyes • 12×12 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Isn’t this look so expressive!? Such a sweet pup. I love painting animals–their eyes are so gentle & say so much. And I think the pup staring up at me right now as I type is calling for a walk. Gotta go!
Penny • 6×6 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Awww, Penny! I just love kitties that roll onto their back for a belly rub.
Snow at Spring Point • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
We have had some lovely days that have melted some of our deep snow but I’m still day dreaming of falling snow. It’s just so beautiful and it turns all of my favorite landmarks into peaceful, moody, magical scenes. Here’s Spring Point for you!
Midday Naptime • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Our sweet kitty Fonzi’s favorite napping spot is on our guest room bed. I love the colors & the light coming in. I so feel like nestling in right next to him today. He’s so sweet & I’m so sleepy!
Rigpa Kitty Love • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
My sweet neighbors across the street lost their kitty Rigpa recently. He was such a handsome boy! His eyes just melt me. Here’s to Rigpa & kitty love.
Valentine’s Day Sunrise • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
I walked down to the Eastern Prom to check out the sunrise from beyond the 6 foot high snow banks & it was so pretty. I actually only witnessed the pre-sunrise which is usually the most magnificent part. I love the silhouettes of the trees, fort & islands & the lamp post lights that were still lit. Because of my timing, I completely missed the Valentine Bandit’s mark that was left upon the Fort. See image below. I adore the Valentine Bandit who has been littering local businesses & landmarks with simple red hearts for over 40 years each Valentine’s Day. Just one of the many things that make Portland so special.

Snow on Quebec St. • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
We got a heavy wet snow overnight which made for a spectacular dog walk this morning. Everything was coated … branches, rooftops, streets. Snow is just beautiful! Now for a thaw. 🙂
Day Break on Beckett St. • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Strolling the neighborhood at dawn is always a treat because I get to witness scenes like this … front steps lit up with a simple porch light. So sweet. I also love the silhouettes of trees & chimney tops at daybreak. Wake up before the sun & walk your neighborhood & you’ll see what I mean–such a special time of day, with or without 2 feet of snow.
Home Sweet Snow • 6×6 • oil on canvas • SOLD
We got a blizzard the other day & it was awesome! There is something so exciting about lots of snow falling … everything is completely transformed & gorgeous. I bundled up & took a walk & couldn’t resist this scene of our home on Munjoy Hill lit up & snow covered … & this was only the beginning. Now if only snow would shovel itself. Phew!
