Scarborough Marsh • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
We headed to Pine Point Beach to escape the heat today & it was so nice to sit in the hot sand with a good book & then cool off in the COLD water. We drive over the Scarborough Marsh to get to & from the beach & I couldn’t resist stopping to admire the view for a few minutes. Voila … pretty, huh?
Morning View from the Brothers Islands • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Early this morning I grabbed my life jacket & my paddle & walked down to the East End Beach to hop in my kayak for a little relief from the heat. It felt amazing to be on the water. I paddled through all of the boats moored on the East End & then to Hlafway Rock where I got a good look at 2 adorable seals & lots of birds & then I kept heading North to a little island that was glowing in the morning light. I arrived & hopped out of my boat & did a little “Brother Island” exploring & went for a swim … ahhhhh! This was one of the views from the shore looking towards Chebeague. What a way to start the day!
4th of July Sunset on Casco Bay • 6×6 • oil on canvas • SOLD
Our neighborhood hosts Portland’s 4th of July celebration, so we always head down to the Eastern Prom for the symphony, fireworks and the view. It’s such a treat. Here’s a look out over Casco Bay at all the little boats gathering to watch the fireworks from the water.

Just another view from my scenic walk around Mackworth Island. This place is such a little gem!
Summer Walk Around Mackworth I • 5×5 • oil on canvas • SOLD
I love escaping to Mackworth Island. It’s only a few miles away from Portland, but it really feels like a far away adventure with its rocky shores, wooded paths, secret benches and swimming beaches, and of course the fairy village. Here’s a view from the shore next to the pier … I love the golden rock and the little islands in the distance. Ahhh, Maine!
